Dr. Mike Martin, DMin, MA, MEd, MSSM, LCMHC-S, NBCC
Mike is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor with over 25 years of experience in private practice. He became a counselor following a 28 year career in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Special Operations Command. Mike specializes in treating individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of issues including abuse, trauma, grief, PTSD, mood disorders, childhood disorders, family conflict, among others. His counseling is based on the needs of the individual, and includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Person-Centered Therapy, as well as a faith-based approach (when requested). Mike's education includes the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, the University of Southern California, Carolina Bible College, Liberty University, and Regent University obtaining the Master of Education, Master of Systems Management, Master of Counseling, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Mike enjoys spending time with his family including his eight grandchildren, studying the Bible, traveling, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs.
Kim Rueda-Herring, MA, LCMHC, LPA
Kim is a Licensed Psychological Associate and Licensed Professional Counselor who has provided outpatient therapy for over 20 years. She provides family and individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Disorders treated include: ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, blended family issues, and Adjustment Disorders, among others. Her area of specialty is trauma based disorders including: physical and sexual abuse, issues related to out of home placement, and grief. She is trained in the TF-CBT model which is an evidence based model that provides education and treatment to both the individual and family.
Misty Martin, MA, LCMHC
Misty is a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost 20 years of mental health experience. She received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and has a Master's in Business from Regent University. Misty is passionate about working with adults, children, and adolescents in the areas of grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Misty completed intensive training with the NC Child Treatment Program in the evidence-based treatment for trauma, TF-CBT. In addition, Misty incorporates a variety of treatment approaches based on the need of the individual, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, family systems, and faith-integrated counseling. When Misty is not working, she enjoys involvement in ministries with her friends around the world, and traveling.
Johnny Leonard, MA, NCC, LCMHC, MAC, LCAS, CCS, SAP, BC-TMH, CHT
Johnny Leonard is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Substance Abuse Professional, Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider, Certified Hypnotherapist at Biblical & Lighthouse Counseling Services since April of 2012. He completed a B.S. in Psychology (2006) and a Master of Arts in Psychology (2010) from Fayetteville State University. He has been engaged in the practice of counseling since 2009. He serves children, adolescents, and adults. His therapeutic approach is eclectic typically blending Psychoanalytic, Person-Centered, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy and Clinical Hypnosis. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and being involved in the community.
Claire Almay, MSW, LCSW
Claire Almay is a Licensed Clinical Social Work with a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and years of experience working with children and families. Claire is currently working to obtain her Registered Play Therapy (RPT) credential and believes that play is the main form in which children learn, communicate, develop, learn to heal and express themselves. Claire specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma, children with defiant or disruptive behaviors, children with Autism/ADD/ADHD, who are struggling in school or at home with symptoms of Depression or Anxiety and more! Claire currently has opening for clients ages 3+, (Various insurances accepted including Tricare, Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield accepted) please call the main office for appointment times!
Sandy Paul, MA, LCMHC
Sandy is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a B.A. in Psychology from University of Colorado, teacher certification from Fayetteville State University and the State of North Carolina, and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She has worked with the practice beginning with her practicum since 2013. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, dealing with a range of issues such as adjustment, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, abuse, and trauma. Sandy includes the following therapeutic approaches, based on the individual’s needs: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Theory, Play Therapy and others. She takes the following insurances; Medicaid (Alliance, Sandhills), Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and TriCare. She has spent several years traveling but now enjoys the many visits that she has with her grandchildren, children and friends.
Angela Greene, MA, LCMHC
Angela is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fayetteville State University and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She retired from Local Government where she served 22 years working and serving individuals with mental health issues. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a trauma focus treatment, and specializes in anger management, marital conflict, relationship issues, stress/anxiety, and self -esteem. She works with ages 7 and up. She accepts Tricare, Medicaid, Cigna, and BCBS insurance. Her general counseling approach is Solution Focused and Behavioral Therapy and her ultimate goal is to help you resolve ongoing issues that cannot be resolved alone.
Teresa Bailey, MSW, LCSW
Teresa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in the Fayetteville, NC area professionally since 2011. She received her Bachelors in Social Work from UNC Greensboro in 2009 and her Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health/Substance Abuse from Fayetteville State University in 2011. Training and population served include: children, adolescents, adults and families. Specialty areas include conduct, anger management, anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, ADHD, and impulsivity issues. She engages her clients in cognitive behavioral therapy, insight oriented therapy and reality therapy. Teresa enjoys hands on activities and expressive art therapy. She accepts Medicaid with Sandhills, Alliance and Eastpointe, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare and TriCare. Outside of work, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family, woodworking, photography and meeting new people.
Nicy Bishop, LMFT
Nicy Bishop is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), licensed in the state of North Carolina, with over 7 years of experience. She became a counselor following retirement, as a Captain, from a 21-year Army career. Nicy specializes in individual, couples/marriage, and family counseling; and addresses issues including anger, anxiety, depression, grief, and PTSD/trauma. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to deliver person-centered counseling. Nicy facilitates several groups to include parenting, PTSD/trauma, and depression and anxiety. She also facilitates court-accepted parenting classes. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and friends; and enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and church family.
Lakeish Benjamin, LCSW
Lakeish Benjamin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Lighthouse and Biblical Counseling Services who has worked in the mental health field for approximately 10 years. Before working in mental health, Lakeish specialized in Early Childhood. Lakeish has experience in individual, family and group therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Since obtaining licensure, Lakeish has worked in both the Outpatient and Intensive In Home programs. Lakeish’s therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy, Eco-Systemic Family Therapy, and variations of Play Therapy based upon individual/family needs.
Chris Williams, LCMHC
Christopher Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree of Psychology at Fayetteville State University, and his Master’s Degree of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Christopher approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy. Christopher has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families while treating ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression, among others.
Bikash is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. He has a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and surgery from B.P.Koirala Institute of Health Science, Dharan, Nepal (2004). He has worked several years in a psychiatric unit as a medical officer in Nepal. He attended and completed his Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University (2017). His counseling approach is eclectic and depending upon the needs of his clients can be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. He is passionate about working with those who are troubled with adjustment, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, abuse, and trauma.

Belisa Kershaw, LCMHC-A, NBCC
Belisa is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LPCA), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) and a Certified Prepare/Enrich Marriage Facilitator. She has earned two Master’s degree from Liberty University; Human Services (2013) and Professional Counseling (2018). She’s focused on providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults who experience symptoms of PTSD, Depression, Grief, ADD, Anxiety, ADHD, other mental health issues, as well as pre-martial counseling. Her experience also includes working with children and adolescents with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. Belisa has served others in a therapeutic setting since 2007, with children and adolescents as an Associate Professional providing Intensive In-Home therapy, and eventually as a Qualified Mental Health Professional in a Day Treatment Program. She believes there is not a “one size fits all” approach, but prefers to tailor therapeutic interventions to fit the needs of the individual. Her passion—serving others from the heart. In her free time, Belisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, music, art, and traveling.
Lorraine (Lorrie) Wilson, LCMHC
Lorrie is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She graduated with a B.S. in Social Work from Campbell University (1990), and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University (2014). Prior to becoming a LCMHC, she worked as a Social Worker, in Home Health, Hospice and inpatient Long Term Care medical settings. Lorrie currently lives in Wilmington, NC, where she opened her private practice, Olive Branch Counseling, PLLC in 2019. She is a Contract Therapist for Lighthouse and Biblical Counseling Services, LLC, of Fayetteville, NC. Lorrie’s approach is eclectic. Person Centered therapy is central to her style as she is passionate about helping individuals recognize their personal strengths and apply them in Integrative therapies such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She provides faith-based approaches, upon request. She has experience in working with counseling situations dealing with grief and loss, crisis, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, adjustment, and relationships; serving adult, high school, college, and older aged populations. Lorrie is married to Jeff Wilson and they have 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, family time, being outdoors and traveling, as well as being involved locally in her community.
